JOIN OUR TEAM! Operations Coordinator

The Arkansas Wildlife Federation (AWF) seeks to hire an Operations Coordinator (OC). The OC is a new position on our small team that will support the operational, administrative, and programmatic functions of the organization.

The OC will report to AWF’s Director and also work closely with the Director of Community Conservation to support core community outreach programs.

This is a remote-work position available to any qualified candidate living within the state of Arkansas. Central AR location is preferred but not required. As a statewide nonprofit, AWF does not maintain a headquarters office. All staff work from home, communicate daily, and travel as needed for meetings and events.

Job duties include but not limited to –

  • Assist the AWF Director with administrative and operational functions of the organization, including bookkeeping, communications, file management, database management, technology systems, and more.

  • Provide operational support for AWF programs including the quarterly publication of Arkansas Out of Doors magazine, annual Wildlife of Arkansas Student Art Contest, annual Conservation Achievement Awards, Certified Habitat Program®, and more.

What We’re Looking For –

  • Experience with administrative and operational functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to remain organized and accountable while working remotely.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills.
  • Enjoy routine and detail-oriented tasks.
  • Positive, caring, and flexible attitude.
  • Reliable ability to travel statewide as needed (mileage reimbursed).

Compensation & Benefits –

  • Hourly pay, $20/hour. Approximately 30 hours per week.
  • Work from home/remotely within Arkansas. Somewhat flexible work schedule.

As a small nonprofit, AWF does not provide health or retirement benefits at this time.
